WHAT IS THE EDS GPS APP?

The EDS GPS APP is a means for field-based employees to log IN or OUT at assigned work locations. Managers can accurately determine WHEN and WHERE field workers login or logout. If your company has drivers, messengers, field technicians, and engineers, employees who work at home or any employee or staff who has to perform tasks in the field, this product is extremely using in determining their whereabouts.

The APP is compatible with both iPhone and Android.

REQUIREMENTS: (for Subscription Option)

  • Android: 7 Nougat of later

  • iOS: iPhone 7 or later

  • Internet Access must be present during transactions 

      (Note: Requirements may suddenly change. Kindly verify with our sales team.)

DATA CAPTURED:

Whenever an employee transacts with the GPS App, the following data are captured:

  1. Employee Name and ID NUMBER.

  2. Log Type (IN or OUT)

  3. Location of the Employee via Google Map. This is based on the GPS coordinates from the employee's smartphone. As an anti-fraud measure, our latest version automatically rejects false coordinates from installed "Fake GPS" apps.

  4. The exact time and date when the transaction occurred. The basis is the global Internet Time, not phone time. This is another anti-fraud measure.

  5. Employee's "Selfie". Aside from the employee's face shot, a background of the site is included in the selfie providing another confirmation of the employee's whereabouts. Using a picture from the phone's gallery is restricted which further enhances real-time verification of transactions.

  6. Remarks - Accomplishments for the day may be encoded here. This is very helpful to track productivity.

WEB CONSOLE FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL

The GPS App incorporates a Web Console that provides a means wherein transactions are reviewed and approved or declined. Only authorized superiors will be allowed to act. There is a maximum of three (3) approvers plus two (2) backup or alternate approvers. A built-in Auto-Email function will automatically send notifications of approval or denial to concerned employees.

IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY FOR ATTENDANCE PROCESSING:
Only approved GPS transactions will be included in the attendance processing (EDS HROS). In case a client did not avail of the EDS HROS, it is possible to integrate it into other HR Systems. For integration options, please coordinate with our Sales Engineer.
